On a Altis Flight Manager Graph, can someone explain what the annotations 'Tracking Disable' and 'Tracking Enable' mean please?

Thanks

Martyn

With eSoaring firmware I think you will find that it relates to the Throttle Out reflecting (or tracking) Throttle In.

You have a height motor cut from the altimeter and this disables the tracking. When you shut the throttle on the Tx, the altimeter itself no longer needs to generate motor off, so the tracking then enables to give you back motor control.

Thanks. So effectively, its the Altis signalling that it has enabled or disabled the throttle. I was puzzled why it reflected what was happening with the throttle input. I suspect that if I disabled Emergency Motor On, I would see the Tracking On but no corresponding Tracking Off when the stick was returned to low throttle.

I think that is correct from your explanation.

With FAI Approved F5J firmware the pilot does not have the option to restart the motor. On a graph of an F5J flight, Tracking shows as disabled all the time after the motor has been cut. See following graph for an F5J launch. (Logging started from power on).
