Hi there all... just joined the forum today so hello to you all and I hope to chat and meet many of you as my journey into soaring progresses.

Been flying Heli and fixed wing for many years but soaring has become of great interest to me very recently. Started off with a Radian Pro and now just finishing a 2m Sapphire.

Im finding the whole e-soaring and F5J fascinating I just love it. Sure I will be asking for advice soon. Im based up in the North just outside Preston so if anybody is local to me please drop me a line ......

Welcome to the eSoaring forum, please feel free to ask any questions, but do expect some strange and controversial answers, we are all experts in our own right but hopefully we are all still learning.

Main thing is to keep an eye on the competition pages as one of the best ways to learn is to come and have a go, the thing you will find is there is always lots of help available, electric gliders is a great part of our hobby and seems to be growing in leaps and bounds which is great.


So again welcome to our community and hope you enjoy our banter

Hi Bernie and thanks for the welcome, I am a photographer and weekends are busy for me.... as a result competitions are a problem. But I will do my best to get to some events as soon as possible.

Just out of interest do you know of any members or clubs in the Lancashire area....? it would be great to contact some other pilots.. most of the guys I know are slope racers and have little interest in e-soaring.
