Got myself a nice fvk Rival Rippe with an AXI motor that can run on 3s or 4s batteries. Is there an advantage to using a 4s in competitions?

I use 4 cells on some models, you will need to reduce the prop size if you go from 3 to 4 cells

There is a small theoretical performance benefit if you prop down to the same power level.

But if your speed control doesn't use a switching BEC the BEC will probably fail, crashing the plane.
