Cliff,
count me in please, 2.4, open with HL.

I believe Ian Duff is also attending as we are planning our usual overnight at Bourton on the Water.

Cheers

Thanks Ian for promptly posting the results.

Well it turned out to be a super day after a dodgy start.
We were initially greeted with a heavy overcast and a chill wind. Thankfully this cleared as the morning progressed and by lunchtime we had the clear skies and warm gentle breeze that had been forecasted.

This allowed the competitors to enjoy some proper thermalling, rather than holding into wind at min sink, that had been the norm at the start of the day.

John Freeman did well in the morning conditions, winning his first three slots with Ian Duff giving him a run for his money. With Mick Barnett constantly stalking them. Unfortunately for John, he did not win a slot for the rest of the day so finished in third place with Ian taking the premier and Mick runner up. Al Lipscombe flew steadily to end the day just off the podium in fourth place.
Unfortunately we only had one 2M entry for this event. Stalwart two metre protagonist Gordon Brown handled the conditions very well, as they changed through the day, with the lightest of his models - the Q12.

We welcomed a couple of visitors during the day, lots of interest was shown and many questions answered. Hopefully we may see them again in the future.

Thanks to Ian Purcell for his valued assistance and the 'girls' for taking the scores and producing the results for our comps!

Our next comp is at Pillerton Hersey on Sunday 6th October
