Hi Mike,
Yes for both days .......but I suspect that there is only Hobson's choice available and that does not hold that much promise. See you Saturday all fingers crossed. Phil

Hi Chaps
Have every intention of flying on Saturday, as things stand right now, we should be OK both in the entry and weather front.

The main concern is the field access but even if we have to do a bit of "Park and Glide" to get to a flyable bit of the fields I expect we can get a comp in!

More by tomorrow afternoon.

Taking entries until 6pm Friday
Cheers

Mike

Hi All
Just letting you know that all systems are go for tomorrow!

Aim at meeting at the usual place on the lower track and hope we can get a spot where we can drive to and fly. 2 slots/round, with a lunch stop as much for scoring input as nourishment!!!

See you tomorrow morning

Mike

Well, how did we do that?

Forecast started improving from about 24 hours out and kept on getting better; winds were light all day and we had a few rain drops about 3pm! It was a bit chilly but most concluded that we were getting soft following the long warm summer. Batteries were the first to notice the cold. with several people needing extra warmth to get "normal" output performance at the prop.

Lift was also light and much "careful criuising" was in evidence, even so few slots were flown out all day but some good flying was in evidence. Good luck was present fortunately for myself and Gordon, when we were moving slowly forwrad at little less than launch height. I was behind and below and hit a gentle bump which lifted the Maxa into the bottom of his 2M model. Both models did a bit of cavorting about before carrying on unscathed; on landing not a single mark was to be found anywhere!

AS you can see, Steve flew to his usual standard, followed by Bob using a heavier model; significantly 2M models of Dave & Gordon took very creditable 4th & 5th places.
