The reserve date for the Southern Area was used and a competition was held and the results are now incorporated into the results published prematurely on the 10th October.

The additional competition did not affect the final results for the first three in the Open class.

These are now the final results for the BMFA eSoaring League 2018.

In each of the tables shown below, cells highlighted in green show the pilots who flew enough rounds (minimum 4) to achieve a league ranking. Fourteen pilots achieved this in Open (five more than shown previously) and six in 2M.

In these tables, the final results for ranking pilots allowed one score (the lowest) to be dropped when five scores had been recorded and the two lowest when seven results had been recorded. The results shown are the average of the remaining scores.

It should be noted that 2M scores are generally lower than those for Open models because the two classes are flown together and the larger models are more efficient, particularly in their ability to return from downwind, and usually win. The exception is the 2M competition flown at the Nationals where one pilot will automatically receive 100%.

In Open, congratulations to Steve Hannon who just held off Mike Rabone (99.71% to 99.16%). Steve managed only four rounds to Mike's eight. Third was John Freeman with 98.90 from five rounds. An honourable mention should go to Steve Haley who did not qualify for a league ranking, recording only three scores, but won all of the competitions he entered.

In 2M, Gordon Brown was the clear winner with 86.41%. Gordon flew in eight competitions, the most of any of the pilots who entered. Martin Oldershaw was second with 83.07% from six competitions just beating Roger Keatley, who had 83.00% from four competitions.

The complete results are shown in the tables below.
