Enteries are invited for the 1st Midland Region E'soaring competition of 2021 at Fish Meadow
Upton Upon Severn ( With thanks to The Malvern Soaring Association ) on,Sunday 18th April 2021
Fish Meadow is at Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire, Upton is situated on the banks of
the river Severn and lies mid-way between the towns of Tewkesbury and Malvern. It is close to
Exit 1 on the M50 motorway.

On leaving the M50 at exit 1, take the A38 north for three miles, in the direction of Worcester,
to the staggered junction with the A4104 at Bluebell Farm and signed to Upton upon Severn.
Turn left on to the A4104. In one mile you gain access to the flying field via a slip road (just after
the small boat with flowers at the side of the road) just past the Marina

When aproaching from the East, the slip road is on your left an about 100 yards before you reach the bridge
over the River Severn just a few yards past the entrance to the Upton Marina.

The slip road runs parallel to the main road towards the bridge and river, follow the slip road slowly and go to the right and
follow it down the slope and under the tunnel this then opens out into Fish Meadow. Access is normally
controlled by a locked barrier but this will be open on the day from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the day of the comp
and again in the afternoon.

A post code of WR8 0PB will put you on the slip road but do not turn left into East Waterside.

8:30 to 9:30- Signing on, flight testing and Altimeter checks where required.
9:45am- Pilot Briefing.
10:00am Contest Start time
after three or possibly four rounds - 30 minute lunch break
4:30-Contest Ends
5:00- Results and Prize giving.

A £5.00 entry fee is payable at signing in.
A loan approved H/L switch can be provided if required for a fee of £5 for the event or if
this is your first E'soaring event then the switch will be loaned F.O.C.

3,Class being entered- i,e, Open or Two Metre
4,If you require loan of a height limiter switch for the day.

We will be launching to 175 meters..........So set limiters as appropriate please

Covid restrictions... social distancing and common sense please... Hand wash is available
but better to have your own for convenience!

Seriously damaged my Explorer B.F. last Sunday.

But the really bad bit is the Wife has found out how
much the replacements parts will cost
