John & Gordon added. Sorry but it looks as though there won't be enough entrants for the 2m class.

Sorry you can't make it Ian.

Neil

I'd be happy to fly 2M instead of Open - (it's just as much fun and more tactical!) - so we just need 1 more 2M model for a valid comp. Any takers !!

Martin

With only 8 entrants this event looks a bit shaky. It will only take one person to drop out before the start and we will be below the minimum entrant number for a valid League event.

If anyone is thinking of entering, but doesn't have a limiter, please give the format a try. We can hire out limiters for the event for just £5.

Also new entrants get free entry, and any existing league entrant that enrols a new flier will get half price entry. The weather is looking good, so why not give it a try?

Neil.

IMHO - as the 2M models baseline flat calm flight times are generally significantly less than "Open" models, the pilots personal launch window, in most conditions, can be expanded and there are more opportunities for the re-launch rule to be used effectively. The smaller model will also be much better at using small lift areas at a lower level and that may well affect tactics towards the end of a flight. There have for instance been many occasions when I have picked up small patches of lift with my 1.5m Blaster from 10m and got away from there - this would be much more difficult with a 3-4m model. The small model is also able to "slope soar" in a much smaller area, and could thus make more use of local features that would be looked at as obstacles by larger models.

Hi Neil ,
Can I please ask if you make the call to hold or cancel event by latest Saturday evening so that trip is not abortive. Unless we can fly anyway, and it will just not count as a league event. Thanks Phil

Hi Neil,
Put me down on 72 in the open class (74 or 77 also available). I could fly a 2m model instead if this would help.
I have a height limiter
Regards
Dave Perrett

Nice to hear from you Dave. I've updated the first post, with you flying Open on 72.

Let me know if that isn't correct.

Neil.
