The SCSA are to hold an evening club Esoaring AULD comp in May; How does this sound for a handicap
Launch height 150 metres, 10 mins flying time
above 3 metres wing span launch at Zero
2.5 to 3 metres launch Zero plus 1 min
below 2.5 metres launch Zero plus 2 mins
For EPP foam add another minute
It is only for fun, but I burst into tears and sulk if I don't win
Phil

Hi Phil
I thought that AULD was lst one in the air wins so why 10min restriction? Neutral
On a good day the way to find a winner is to get all the flyers in the air at a pre determined time ,usually about 15 mins to fly below a certain(we use line of site to a tree top) level and then see who is last down

Good luck
Bruce

Thanks for the reply
I was hoping to get about 6 rounds in.
If the time isn't retricted there could be times when those who landed early are stood around waiting for two dotted models, my AVA flew for nearly three hours one afternoon using multiple pilots.
Once models look like flying the slot out we call it a draw for those in the air and land early

Hi Phil, thinking about some gliding comps to run at my local club. Have you run any to the above plan yet? If so how did the staggered start time work out?
Cheers, Guy
