What a fantastic day to end the season, after all the cancelled events from earlier in the season. Wall to wall sunshine and virtually no wind to speak of.
The only glitch on the day was my failure to get the results to read correctly on the day, owing to my lack of expertise with the scoring system, to see the problem until I got home and reviewed it all again. Missed my long time scorer and good friend, Peter Hindle who was sunning himself at his apartment in San Jose,CA
So my apologizes to those who missed out on the day, notably Alan Twine who topped the list on re appraisal, plus any others as well. Time to retire gracefully.
Nearly all suffered from one poor flight, as conditions proved more tricky after the lunch break, with lift proving to be elusive at times, but some people always seemed to find some to fly it out.
A special mention should be made of Jef Ott, who has campaigned the whole series flying 100S models and not really modern ones either in the form of an Organic and on Sunday a Riechard Rapid, so you do not need expensive amunition to do well.
So onto next year with hopefully new personnel at the helm to keep it all going as it is still the most popular electric event in the UK by far even allowing for double entry on the day, so my thanks to all those who have flown at any time in these series of competitions, having grown from approx 8 entry's in 2007
