Very happy with 28 entrants

I don't why I didn't have any replies to my post or why it doesn't show it as an active Topic perhaps admin could advise on the latter?

Well it's now an active topic!

There must be a time limit for it to remain active regardless of content such as date of competition which is of course most relevant.

Best I keep it active by posting like this.

Many left home or travelled in rain to arrive at the field. The organisers had erected all the necessary equipment in light rain only to have to move it to suit the changed wind direction. All good fun! The start was delayed by 15 minutes and the sun shone most of the day with white fluffy clouds but some dark areas where models were easily lost sight of. There was however a strong and gusting wind where thermals shot by but could be used by the best. The site is in the marshes close to the Swale estuary next to the Isle of Sheppy, a nearby river and the number of trees can be counted on one hand. You can count the trees, most of little height on one hand. I checked out the tallest luckily my Shadow just dropping to the ground resulting in a cracked fuselage and a broken spinner. In the conditions fewer than would normally be expected left the day needing repairs. There were a few out of field landings and long walks. James Egington’s rudder/elevator only Radian seemed to be in reverse a lot of the time, but far from disgraced themselves.
A few statistics Out of the 24 groups 10 resulted in no fly outs, 9 with only 1 fly out, 5 with less than 5m 30s max., and only 1 where 6 flew or very nearly flew out.
We finished the 6 rounds by 1645 and managed a 15 minute lunch break.
The presentation included plaques for 1st Keith Fisher and 2nd Simon Thornton in the Kent Interclub section of this combined with the Bartletts’ League event and a bottle of wine for the 1st Keith Fisher, 2nd Paul Wainwright (flying his Sprite so you don’t need a large model) and 3rd Pete Mitchell
Thanks to everyone who competed, helped and SADMAC for providing the flying field.
