Hello All

I received my printed copy of the BMFA Silent Flight rules this morning (you can get a copy for a small charge, from the BMFA Office, or download any bits you want from the website) but I thought a quick preview here might help. To see the sections where changes have been made look for the bold sidebar against the paragraphs concerned.

There are very few SF rule changes this year. The following were passed by the SFTC after considering various representations.

F5J Rule UK amendments now require pilots and timekeepers to remain upwind of launch/landing spots during flights (as in eSoaring).

The rule amendment permitting the use of Firmware which allows restart the motor, with zero score, has been withdrawn. Open class models must now use the appropriate firmware which allows a single run without possibility of restarting. (2m models may continue to use restart)

Motor run in 2M classes (eSoaring and F5J) is now 30seconds.

There is some other tidying up here and there, as in eSoaring.
