 Post subject: Six Servo Wing

Hello All,

I've just acquired a second hand glider, I think it's called an Omega it is a pure glider not an electric glider, It has a six servo wing, one servo per surface.

I could do with some advice on how best to set this up, do I slave the inner and outer ailerons together or just use the outer surface as ailerons and the inner ailerons to change the camber or ????

What are the advantages of a six servo wing ?

Any guidance gratefully accepted.

My (yet to fly) Inside F5J has a six servo wing. It was claimed that smaller surfaces on more servos created less distortion in the wing, so allowed a lighter wing to be built (in balsa). The designers suggested that the outer surface only is used as aileron.
Mine is being set up as all surfaces camber changing, outer aileron, braking flaps inner only, middle 50% aileron and possibly spoiler (if I feel that the flap only braking is not enough).
